Guys need love too! When I was asked to put my decor touches on a Bachelor’s home, I was excited for the opportunity because not too many men “I know” care about the appearance of their home. Not judging at all but some just are not into the Home Decor lifestyle like some women. However, I was up for the challenge and ready to tackle the situation at hand. I was given a budget of $1,000 to upgrade the living and dining area. My client lived quite a distance (50 minutes to an hour away) but I’m a visual type of person so I requested good photos of his space that needed decorating. He sent me great photos and I was given a certain criteria about what color not to use, keeping family portraits into the mix and using his existing furniture. Other than that, I had complete control to do as I please within budget. In honesty, I know I did good with allocating the money well to cover as much as I could. So, let’s first look at my shopping experience before the before and after.
My first purchase I focused on big items that will make a big impact such as wall items, rug, big vases, etc.

Next stop on my shopping trip was to gather all the accent pieces and special touches to bring the look together. Not all was pictured here but I wanted to make sure a bulk of the funds was used accordingly. Now let’s check out the space I was working with. Ya’ll ready???? 😉
The Before & After
The dining room portion of the decor process was done strategically as the bulk of the funds went into the living room. As stated before, I had to keep the current furniture so I went with a new curtain rod, window treatments, and table decor. I removed all the frames from this space. The valance box was a sentimental item that the client wanted to keep and he was adding blinds to the patio so I didn’t have to worry about that. Oh yea, the exercise bike was removed.

Living Area
The living room below was such a transformation. I threw in a nice rug, wall mirrors and art, throw pillows and such.

Was that a transformation or what. The Bachelor loved his new space. Couldn’t be more happier to give him an inviting place to kick his feet up 🙂
